Chocolate S’more Microwave Bowl Cake

If you split this sweet quickie with someone they'll love you forever (or at least until the last bit of chocolate and graham goodness is devoured). You can make it for one, just halve the ingredients.

6 graham crackers

5 tbsp melted butter

6 tbsp flour

4 tbsp brown sugar

4 tbsp cocoa

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 egg

2 tbsp Purveyors Kitchen chocolate or Mexican chocolate dessert sauce

1/4 cup water or chocolate porter beer

1/4 cup chocolate chips


1Melt 1 Tbs. butter in a small bowl or large mug in the microwave. Smash up graham crackers and mix with butter & press into the bottom. Microwave for 2 minutes.

2Meanwhile, combine the remaining ingredients except for the marshmallows & mix well.

3Pour batter into bowl with the graham cracker crust & microwave for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes (microwave ovens vary so keep an eye on it. You want it to rise but not dry out.)

4Top with a handful of marshmallows & either torch or set under a broiler until puffed & golden.

If you like your cake a little lava-like, nuke it for less time. Feel free to add some chopped, toasted nuts to the graham-butter mix, a pinch of cinnamon to the batter or a few drops of vanilla or other flavoring.
