How to make an authentic mug of Mexican cocoa: the way the Aztecs used to brew.
- Prep: 5 mins
- Cook: 5 mins
Directions
1Grab a large cocoa mug or glass.
2Add spoonfuls of chocolate to the mug. Start with three tablespoons. You can go more or less depending on how strong a beverage you like.
3Add a few tablespoons of hot water (traditional) or milk. Whisk with a molinillo or whisk until a paste forms.
4Add enough water or milk to fill just under the top of the glass. Guzzle responsibly.
Seeking a more adult beverage? Add a splash of coffee liqueur or bourbon.
