Natalia’s Thai Style

Think a sauce is just a sauce? Think again. Pop a top on a jar of Natalia’s Sweet Potato Tomato Sauce, add a few ingredients and find your soup spot anytime.

  • Yields: 8 servings


1 yellow onion, chopped

3 large carrots, diced

Zest of 1 lime

1 28oz can of whole peeled plum tomatoes, squished

2 13.5oz cans of coconut milk

1 24oz jar of Natalia's Sweet Potato Tomato Sauce

1 tbs butter or oil


1Heat butter or oil over medium-high heat

2Sauté onions and carrots and pinch of salt until caramelized

3Add squished tomatoes and simmer for about 10 minutes

4Add jar of Natalia's Sauce

5Add another jar of water (or vegetable/chicken broth). Cover and cook until carrots are soft. Remove from heat.

6With immersion blender (or regular blender), puree mixture (optional: strain for a more refined soup).

7Return to medium-high heat and add coconut milk.

8Add zest of lime to taste.

9Bring to a low boil and then remove from heat. Serve.
