Strawberry Tiramisu

September 13, 2016

A fresh summer take on the dessert classic.

  • Prep: 2 hrs 10 mins
  • Yields: 6-8 servings

1 jar Purveyors Kitchen Strawberry Cabernet Fruit Spread

1 block cream cheese, softened

2 pints fresh strawberries, sliced plus extra for garnish

2 cups vanilla wafers

1/2 cup gold rum

1 cup heavy cream

1 tablespoon sugar

Whipped cream, for serving

Red colored sugar, for serving

1In a small bowl whip together cream cheese and jar of Purveyors Kitchen Strawberry Cabernet Fruit Spread until combined.

2Whip heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks are achieved. Fold cream cheese mixture into cream until mostly combined. A few streaks are just fine.

3In a large glass or trifle bowl, assemble your tiramisu as desired. Dip vanilla wafers into rum before layering them between your flavored cream and sliced berried. Cover and refrigerate at least two hours.

4Remove from fridge and top with whipped cream and more berries to indicate the flavor below. Dust with colored sugar.

5Scoop and serve as dessert or as a late afternoon pick-me-up.

Layering the tiramisu can be done in any bowl or serving tray. Even decorative glasses, in a parfait-style, work well.
